Mala Review:
Mala
is a thriller movie where Priyanka Karki plays the role of a soul.
Movie has everything that is needed for a thriller movie. Good
cinematography, well developed plot, background score that will keep
thrilling you and good performance. Movie will reveal the story and
suspense as it flows and holds you in the seat of theater. Movie doesn’t
have any dull or uneasy moments that will ruin your experience of
watching a thriller movie.
Priyanka Karki as Mala is
superb. This may be the first time she has portrayed such character.
Throughout the movie she speaks only one word. She expresses her pain
and feelings from her expression which is superb. A village girl to a
soul, she has perfect screen presence which will get huge appreciation.
Aryan Sigdel as a doctor is good and he portrays Neel’s character well.
Sumina Ghimire also look beautiful as an innocent wife. Prajwal Giri as a
broker and husband looks great. Loonibha Tuladhar in a special
appearance is good.
Sudeep Bhupal Singh who has written
and directed the movie has done good job. He has made a perfect
thriller movie which will hold his audience within the seat and keep
thrilling with suspense and thrills. Movie is not a horror but a
suspense thriller movie which has a social issue tied to the story.
I
found quite disappointing during the climax when the movie gets
diverted into another issue at the end. As the movie starts and focuses
on the issue of human trafficking and was presented this with thrilling
experience but at the end when movie gets diverted into the case of
organ transplantation issue, I find an ending a bit unforgiving. One of
the best thriller movie ever made in Nepal but I give only 3 stars for
this as I found the movie could be more interesting which is missed.
Last Word:
Mala
is an interesting movie with the suspense that will keep you hooked.
Give this thriller movie a chance, it will keep you hooked to your seat.
