Nepali Film Rang Baijani - Movie Review Ft. Garima Panta | Sumnima Ghimire

Nepali feature film Rang Baijani is directed by Shambhu Pradhan. Movie is written by Nutan Pradhan whereas music is composed by Deep Pradhan. Rang Baijani stars Garima Panta, Sumnima Ghimire, Dikpal Karki in lead role. Movie is based on social drama. Movie is running across the theaters of Nepal.

What’s Good: Direction, music, story.

What’s Bad: Some performance, melo-drama on first half that won’t woo.

Story:

After the death of father, Rama (Garima Panta) stays at father’s best friend’s house along with his song Binay (Dikpal Karki). Binay’s father gets impressed with Rama and asks Binay to get married with her for happy life of their family. But Binay rejects his father’s proposal and tells about his love interest Devina (Sumnima Ghimire). Devina is a girl who sings at bar of a hotel. Binay’s father rejects Devina due to which Binay takes decision to leave the house. Binay’s father gets hospitalized due to this tension and to save his father Binay marry Rama. Binay marry Rama in one hand and on other hand his father expires. When Devina knows about Binay being married, she leaves the city and stays far from Binay’s life. After three year, Binay finds Devina at hospital. Devina is not well so Binay takes Devina to his house to take care of her. Devina enters inside the house of her ex-boyfriend where there is Binay’s wife also. What will happen next? Will Rama tolerate Devina inside the same house? Watch the movie to know further story.

Rang Baijani Movie Review:

Rang Baijani is expected to treat with something new by the veteran director Shambhu Pradhan. But Rang Baijani fails to bring anything new from the director. Especially first half have the scenes that are borrowed from many movies of Shambhu Pradhan that won’t woo audience. There is lots of melo drama at first half that are presented with same style that we have been watching since a decade. But after second half movie’s story gets into track and holds you inside the theater. Movie story is simple and which will be accepted by old to young generation.

One of the good aspects of the movie is its music. Music by Deep Pradhan are melodious which will please your ears. Sashank Pradhan’s cinematography is average. Story, screenplay and dialogues of Nutan Pradhan is good but missed to deliver anything new and fresh.

Garima Panta is good at her role of Rama. On second half she delivers her performance which justify the character. Sumnima Ghimire looks beautiful and she delivers well. New actor Dikpal Karki has good scope in the movie but fails to deliver at some place. He is good as Abhaya but not best. Dikpal Karki needs to work hard on his dialogue delivery for further movies.

Shambhu Pradhan has choose the story which has complete family drama which will be accepted by all aged groups. Movie is simple and has scope for making it best which is missed by the director. Shambhu Pradhan has tried to make the movie with his own style with new actors and crew members. Although movie doesn’t disappoints but movie couldn’t be so memorable like Shambhu Pradhan’s Sapana, Sampati.

Last Word: Rang Baijani is one time watchable movie.
