Nepali Film Fitkiree - Movie Review Ft. Saugat Malla | Diya Maskey | Nischal Basnet

Nepali movie Fitkiree is released all over Nepal from 21st March. Fitkiree being the first movie directed by Anup Baral and first movie of Nischal Basnet as an actor had made the movie more promising and expectation among the audiences is high than any other movie. Fitkiree is produced by Arjun Kumar and Sumit Mainali. Fitkiree features Diya Maskey and Saugat Malla in lead role.

Fitkiree is a suspense story where a character Ramji Lamichhanne gets kidnapped on Tihar and his family gives one crore rupees to kidnapper and release him. After that Ramji informs the police to find out the man behind his kidnapping and his one crore rupees that is with kidnappers. This case is handled by the Inspector Jeewan ( Saugat Malla). While investigating this case, he meets Rupa (Diya Maskey) and Nishchal Basnet’s character. He tries to find out the money of Ramji Lamichhane with the help of these two characters. Along with this case there is a social problem of Jeewan through which he have to go every day.

Fitkiree is all about investigation of the case of Ramji Lamichhanne and finding out his one crore money and to find out the man behind his kidnapping.

What’s good?

1. Performance of Saugat Malla and Diya Maskey.


2. Songs of Arjun Kumar and Girish Khatiwada.


3. First half will hold your curiosity.


4. Nischal Basnet as an actor performing on the screen for the first time.

What’s bad?

1. Movie’s story and suspense.


2. Lack of justification of the character played by Nischal Basnet.


3. Linking social problem of Jeewan with the flow of the investigation diverts the audience excitement.


4. Movie’s story and suspense is unjustifiable as there is huge expectation from Anup Baral.


5. Second half totally will make your curiosity level down.

If Fitkiree was directed by any other new director than movie could get some positive response but Anup Baral as a director itself gave a big expectation to everyone which fails miserably to reach the expectation. Movie can do good business on Saturday and Sunday but will face hard time due to lack of good content. Point to be noted that audience will go to watch Fitkiree with the expectation of superb movie made by Anup Baral but will surely be disappointed.

 Watch or not?

You can watch Fitkiree for the performance of Saugat Malla and Diya Maskey only else your expectation of watching a good nepali movie will be ruined for sure.
