New nepali film Chocolate is released today. Poozana Pradhan's comeback to film after a gap as well as her first film as a producer and writer have a big expectation. Film is crucial for director Nirmal Sharma as well who is debuting as a director from this film. After working together with Deepak Raj Giri and Deepa Shree Niraula, Nirmal Sharma had a big expectation that film would be a good one.
Chocolate is said to be made for a social cause rather than for earning money. Poozana Pradhan wants to build house for keeping 50 orphans from the money earned from the film. Film made with the budget of around 60 lakhs will have to collect around 1.8 crore to recover its investment. Film has also been released abroad earlier. Film will portray the story of street childs of Kathmandu and their struggle for existence.
Film's buzz from trailer is not so high but film will have chance to recover if mouth publicity will become strong. Film have a strong competition with Kabaddi Kabaddi which is doing good business at multiplex. Chocolate will have to solely depend upon the strong mouth publicity to grab good numbers. Chocolate features Poozana Pradhan, Suman Gaire, Shushi Gurung, Preetimaya Gurung in lead role.
