Three Months Achieved Six Hit This Year

If we observe last years films, out of 84 released films only 9 could recover its investment (Check the list at this link). But this year seems to be lucky in case of hit movies as within three months, six movies have succeed to recover its business. Five movies have already recovered its business whereas Lootera which is running at theaters is on its way to recover its business. Lets analyze this year's hit movies that have succeed to recover its business.

1. Hostel Returns

Hostel Returns that was released on Bhadra 4 is the first hit of the year. Hostel Returns was released post earthquake which showed a hope to Nepali film makers that after such a destruction audience are in mood of watching films. Hostel Returns directed by Suraj Bhusal and produced by Sunil Rawal was made on the budget of around 80 lakhs got critical as well as business wise success.

2 Resham Filili

Resham Filili was released on Bhadra 11 after a week of release of Hostel Returns also did a good business. Resham Filili was released one day earlier than earthquake which succeed to collect 60 lakhs on first day. After earthquake, film got postponed its release to Bhadra 11. Film didn't grab good critical response but due to hit music film got to collect good business. Although it was expected to do high business but due to poor mouth publicity film could only recover its business. Resham Filili was made on the budget of around 6. lakhs.

3. Bhairav

Bhairav was also released on Bhadra 11 clashing with Resham Filili. Bhairav made on high budget of more than a crore did excellent business from limited theaters. Nikhil Upreti's comeback showed a solid impact on business of the film. Bhairav directed by Nikhil Upreti easily recovered its business and turned out to be a hit.

4. Woda Number 6

Deepak Raj Giri and Deepa Shree Niraula's second presentation film Woda Number 6 achieved both critical as well as business wise success. Woda Number 6 featuring popular comedian actors of small screens did excellent business across the theaters of Nepal. Although film have to face blockade problem, film did good business in both single screens as well as on multiplex. Woda Number 6 was made on the budget of around 80 lakhs which was released on Ashoj 1.

5. Pardeshi

Pardeshi is the comeback of Prashant Tamang and Narayan Raymajhi duo which won the heart of audience. Film also got both critical as well as business wise success. Film made on the budget of around 70 lakhs did excellent business in-spite of clash with other three biggie movies. Film enjoyed long run till Tihar from Dashain. Film was released on Karthik 3.

6. Lootera

Lootera which was released on Tihar is still doing good business across the theaters of Nepal. Film made on the budget of around 1 crore is doing superb business. Nikhil Upreti's action avatar has made the film to get good audience at theaters. Lootera film proved Nikhil Upreti's stardom is still strong after 5 year gap. Lootera is still running at theaters and it is on its way to recover its business as it has more 10 days to enjoy at theaters.

Beside these six movies, other films like Luv Sab, Chankhe Shankhe Pankhe and Adhkatti has got good audience but film couldn't recover its business from the theaters only. According to the reports from theaters, these films has got good audience compared to other release of this year but they were not so strong to recover their big investment.
