Sushri Would Have Benefited If Not Released On Dashain

Sushri film only have Aryan Sigdel as a face value. Rest of the team are in need of a hit. For that Sushri was an important movie for others. Director Shivam Adhikari and actress Ashika Tamang were one of the major highlights of the movie where they have faced a bitter experience on their first film.

Shivam Adhikari is one of the most preferred script writer of Nepali film industry. His first directorial venture Sushri got unnoticed due to clash with three movies on Dashain. This surely gave a bad start of Shivam as a director which gave a message to film makers that a good writer may not be a good director too. Next to Shivam, lead actress and producer Ashika Tamang got affected badly. Her first debut movie turned out to be a flop and unnoticed. Ashika got good hype on media earlier due to the tag 'Nepali Angelina Jolie'. Her performance got shaded with the clash on Dashain. Surbina Karki had also a big expectation with this film as she was also in need of a hit film.

Director and producer of the film Sushri did a mistake of releasing the film on Dashain as other three movies were releasing on the same date. Aryan Sigdel's star power is not so strong these days that will drag audience to theater by leaving any other films. So Sushri had a lower chance of getting good audience and theaters. If Sushri was released after a week, movie could have got more theaters and audience as among the three movies releasing on Dashain, any one or two would be out of theater. According to the producers, it is necessary to understand that making a good film won't work if release date and timing are not taken into consideration. Sushri is an example for this case.



Sushri was made on the budget of around 60 lakhs which was a big investment for a film. Movie is written and directed by Shivam Adhikari which features Aryan Sigdel, Ashika Tamang, Surbina Karki, Rajaram Paudel in lead role.
